What some of our customers had to say..................... Please see the home page for more recent reviews as these are now updated weekly.
'We had a fantastic time, the camp was very clean and tidy, very friendly staff - overall excellent and very family friendly.' May/June 2012
'We visited for the first time in may and it will not be the last!!
The parks cleanliness, friendliness, all round the site including fellow campers was second to none!!
Showers cost 50p for approx 5 mins while the radio plays - if you fancy a sing in the shower.
The toilets and showers are in the same heated block and were always immaculate and stocked no matter what time of day or night.
There is also a hair dryer for use.
There are laundry facilities on site and although we had no need to use them, they were also kept spotless.
The bar serves food on certain days and has entertainment on a Saturday as well as bingo and quiz on the friday and Sunday. Attached to this is a children's room too.
I would more than highly recommend this site to couples and families. There are rabbits that roam around quite happily and we also seen a deer further along the road.
I was concerned about the 10amp hook up although this gave me no problems at all. Splitters are not permitted, but they are not needed either as I found it more than possible to run my tv, DVD player and halogen off an extension lead plugged into our folding camper and also was able to charge my phone from the the other plug point. We use a gas kettle. The power was more than adequate.
Karen is the lady who deals with everything and if she is not about (didn't happen for us) then there is a number to call. She is totally lovely. Nothing too much trouble.
One piece of advice... Strap awnings down as it does get exceptionally windy.
No complaints at all. A great site and shopping is a ten minute drive down the road to tesco in queens bury.
Great, better than great value for money at Upwood.
I hope I haven't forgotten anything, but there is definitely no fault to be found.
A lovely place. We will certainly re visit.' May/June 2012
'Although we have never stayed here before, would definitely stay again, although full when we first arrived, things were rearranged quickly and without fuss to put us nearer the facilities, due to my husband's disability, well done everyone. Even though we have a Motor Home, would be very tempted to stay in one of your Super Pods.
Plus side for us was the peace and quiet of the site, not overcome by stupid rules and regulations. The attitude of all the staff, to please but not be intrusive. Really lovely site.' May/June 2012
'My husband and I used to camp on the East coast of Yorkshire until 3 years ago, this is when we discovered Upwood Holiday Park, our friends have asked why do we go there as we only live just 15 minutes away from the park but to be there is so nice. The site is immaculate, is kept clean and tidy, it can be relaxing and peaceful yet there is plenty to do and see if you want to. Weekend entertainment is always very good and the food which is served in the bar is yummy and at an affordable price. And to add to all that the staff are really helpful and friendly.' May/June 2012
